Bandipora district is one of the 22 districts in Jammu and Kashmirstate in northern India.

 This district was carved out from the erstwhile Baramulla district in 2007. The district is bounded by Kupwara district in the west, Baramulla district in the south and Kargil,Srinagar and Ganderbal districts in the east.Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir is a very beautiful and atrective places for tourist. Jammu and Kashmir is called as Janat-e-nazir.

            Budgam is a district of the state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. 

            Budgam district came into existence in 1979, prior to which it was part of Srinagar district. In the olden days, Budgam was a part of district Baramulla, when Srinagar itself was a constituent of the Anantnag district. It was then known as tehsil Sri Pratap. Historical record suggests that Budgam was also referred to as Pargana Deesu. According to a well-known chronicler - Khawaja Azam Demari - the area was also known as Deedmarbag.

        The district's main tourist attractions are Doodhpathri, Yusmarg, Tosamaidan, Nilnag, Mt Tatakuti, and Pehjan.District Badgam offers many stunning locales and has tremendous tourism potential that has largely remained untapped so far. The attractive places that can be visited are Doodpather, Yousmarg, Tosmaidan, Nilnag and Khag. Kani shawl adomed the caesar's court and was looked upon by Mughals and later by Nawabs as mark of nobility. In 1776 Napoleon presented a Kani shawl to his wife Josephine and with that took off a new fashion trend in Europe.

Short brief history of Anantnag city of Kshmir, India

           Anantnag is a city and a Municipality in Anantnag in India occupied state of Jammu and Kashmir.

            Before the advent of Muslim rule in 1320 CE, Kashmir was divided into three divisions, viz., Maraz in the south, Yamraj in the centre and Kamraj in the north of the Valley. Old chronicles reveal that the division was the culmination of the rift Marhan and Kaman, the two brothers, over the crown of their father. The part of the valley which lies between Pir Panjal and Srinagar, and called the Anantnag, was given to Marhan and named after him as Maraj. While Srinagar is no longer known as Yamraj, the area to its north and south are still called Kamraz and Maraz respectively. Lawrence in his book "The Valley of Kashmir" states that these divisions were later on divided into thirty four sub-divisions which after 1871 were again reduced to five Zilas or districts. According to old map of British India (1836), Anantnag was called Islamabad by some.
