Short brief history of Maharashtra city of India

                 Maharashtra is a State in the Western region of India.

               Maharashtra has one of the highest level of urbanisation of all Indian states. The mountainous topography and soil are not as suitable for intensive agriculture as the plains of North India; therefore, the proportion of the urban population (45.23 percent) contrasts starkly with the national average of developing metros and many large towns.

Short brief history of Bellary city of India

            Bellary  is a historic city in Bellary District in Karnataka state, India.

           After the defeat and death of Tipu Sultan in the Fourth Anglo-Mysore War at Srirangapattanam (Seringapatam), the Mysore territories were further divided up between the Wodeyars, Asif Jah II and the British.
           In 1796 AD, Asaf Jah II, harassed by the Marathas and Tipu Sultan, had opted to get British military protection under Lord Wellesley's doctrine of Subsidiary Alliance. As part of this agreement, Asif Jah II ceded a large portion of the acquired territory including Bellary, to the British, to be added to the Madras Presidency as 'Bellary District'. This area was also known as the Ceded Districts, a term still used for the areas, and was considerably larger than the present district, including the present districts of Kadapa (Cuddapah), Anantapuram and much of Karnoolu (Kurnool).

            Bellary was the seventh largest town in Madras Presidency, and was one of the chief military stations in Southern India, garrisoned by British and native Indian troops under the British Indian Government. A company of the Southern Mahratta Railway Volunteer Rifles was also stationed in the town.
            The town included a civil railway station to the east of the Bellary Fort, the cantonment and its railway station on the west, the Cowl Bazar and the suburbs of 'Bruce-pettah' (currently spelt Brucepet) and 'Mellor-pettah', named after two British officers once stationed in the town.

           Jalandhar is a city in the north-western Indian state of Punjab.
               Jalandher is the oldest city in Punjab.

             Jalandhar and Multan are the oldest surviving cities of the Punjab region, with historical references as far back as A.D. 100. The Jalandhar Doab  also marked the easternmost territory of the empire of Alexander the Great. He erected giant altars in this area to mark the eastern most extent of his empire and also founded a city named Alexandria in the vicinity and left many Macedonian veterans there.

            In 1710, The Jatts of Jalandhar District, complained, about, the Mughal Faujdar, at jalandhar City, who was making their lives miserable, They told Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, who helped the Jatts, and took Jalandhar, adding it to the Khalsa Raj, by 1711.
Baba Sang Ji, who belonged to village Sang Dhesian, when he became a Sikh, during his childhood, along with his parents, later he was made the Preacher of Manjke Region, present day part of Jalandhar District, now part of Doaba. The fifth Sikh Guru, Guru Arjan Dev Ji got married In Jalandhar District, Southern Jalandhar District, known as Manjke, In 1583, to Mata Ganga Ji, who belonged to the village of Mau Sahib, In Tehsil Phillaur, Jalandhar District of Punjab. Guru Arjan Dev Ji, was the fist Sikh Guru, to make extensively preaching, in the District, visiting village after village, In which the Sikhs, grew in numbers, in the area, Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, blessed this area, and Preached. Guru Har Rai Sahib, Ji, said Anand Raho. and visited numerous villages, in the area.

         In, 1846 AD John Lawrence (1811-1879), 1st Baron Lawrence was appointed the commission of the Jalandhar Doaba on its annexation in 1846. He put a curfew around Ram Rai Pur the heart of the Sikh uproar known for organizing terror attacks against the British Raj and the surrounding villages, killing any one who did not adhere to his rules. In 1847 nine members of the Dhindsa family where shot and hanged in an action to scare other villages around Ram Rai Pur.

Short brief history of Aligarh city of India

           The city of Aligarh is the administrative headquarters for Aligarh Division Aligarh district in the Northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

            Before the 18th century, Aligarh was known as Kol or Koil caste, the name of a place or mountain and the name of a sage or demon. Study of the place-name indicates that the district was once fairly well covered by forests and groves. The history of the district through the 12th century AD is obscure.

           In 1194 AD, Qutb-ud-din Aibak marched from Delhi to Kol, "one of the most celebrated fortresses of Hind". Qutb-ud-din Aibak appointed Hisam-ud-din Ulbak as the first Muslim governor of Koil.

In the reign of Akbar, Kol was made a Sirkar and included the dasturs of Marahra, Kol ba Haveli, Thana Farida and Akbarabad. Both Akbar and Jahangir visited Kol on hunting expeditions. Jahangir clearly mentions the forest of Kol, where he killed wolves.
During the time of Ibrahim Lodhi, Muhammad, son of 'Umar, was the governor of Kol. He built a fort at Kol and named the city Muhammadgarh, after himself, in 1524–25. Sabit Khan, who was then the governor of this region, of Farrukh Siyar and Muhammad Shah, rebuilt the old Lodhi fort and named the town after himself: Sabitgarh.
