Short brief history of Tharparker, Sindh (Pakistan)
Tharparker is the district of Sindh province of Pakistan. It has the lowest Human Development Index of all districts in Sindh. According to 1998 census, Muslims constitute 60% of the total population and Hidus 40%. The significant numbers of Hindus migrated to India during the 1965 and 1971 war between India and Pakistan.
Mithi is a Tehsil of district Tharparkaer and Mithi Town is district Headquarters, as well as commercial hub of district. Agriculture, handicrafts and live stock are key business activities.
